THE WORSTE NEW YEARS EVE!

Yes, it was the worst New Years Eve. I usually like to really plan something for the occassion but this morning I woke up throwing up with the stomach flu. It has been awful. Then a few hours ago Ashtyn got it too. Now I need to be prepared for it to run through everyone else in the house. Right now Mike is down at the Inn for the party there. He took four of the kids and I kept the other two here. I am so thirsty and hungry I want to pass out. Ashtyn feels the same way. This isn't the first time I have gotten the stomach flu for New Years. I got set up on a blind date one year and got it then. It was a good thing cause my date was AWFUL! Well I hope everyone else had a good time. Thanks Chrishel for bringing your family down and giving it to all of us:)

Christmas and a broken finger

Sadie broke her finger on Friday night. We aren't sure how still. Her and Siri were playing and fell and Sadie was crying that her finger
was hurting. It swelled up pretty bad and when we took her in the next morning it was still too swollen to cast so they put a splint on it
and hopefully it will just heel with this and we won't have to worry
about a cast.
Christmas morning pic. Enjoy!

ALL ABOUT BABY TAG

OK so first this is an all about babies tag.
1. Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? I was at my apartment at the Inn on break from work.
2. Who were you with? No one.
3. How did you find out that you were pregnant? I missed my period by about 2 days. We had been trying for six months and it just wasn't happening so I figured it was just another false alarm.
4. What was your first reaction to finding out that you were pregnant? I think I screamed. I was so excited!
5. Who was the first person you told? Stephanie, Mike was coming in for lunch on his break and we had to hurry and get things ready. I went to the store and bought a three muskateers bar and some sugar babies. When he came in he ate and after I told him I had a treat for him. I said he could either have the three muskateers or the sugar babies. ( I put a lot of emphasis on the words as I said them). He said the three muskateers. I said the same thing again and he said "If you want that one just say so and I'll take the other one". Then his eyes got really big and he got it. He was really excited.
6. Did you plan to get pregnant? Already answered that one
7. Did you tell everyone right away? Heck yea, I couldn't keep any of them a secret, I was always way to excited.
8. Was everybody happy for you? I think so, plus a lot of them knew we had been trying for awhile.
9. Did you go out and celebrate? I honestly don't remember.
10. Did you find out the sex? Yes. We both wrote on a piece of paper what we thought it was and put it in an envelope. We found out it was a girl and then opened the envelope. I had written Boy and Mike had written "A sweet little baby girl". He was right and it just melted my heart. Then with baby #3 our third girl before baby #4 brought our only boy, I went to the ultrasound and they said "what do you want to see" I said "A penis, that's it":)
11. What was the sex? Girl, Girl, Girl, Boy, Girl, Girl
12. Did anyone throw you a baby shower? Yes, Vicki Syrett, with my mom and Mike's mom.
13. Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew you wouldn't put on your baby? Honestly that was an option with Baby girl #1 but then when baby girl #2 and 3 followed close after I was just honestly happy to have so many clothes
14. How much weight did you gain? Exactly 42 pounds with all my girls and 50 pounds with my little boy.
15. Did you lose all the weight that you gained? I only lost all the weight after two of them. Kodi who I actually lost all the weight and then about 20 pounds more. It was awesome. With the others I kept on about 10 pounds each time. After my last one though I knew I had to get it off and I did. I lost down to my weight when I got married plus 10 pounds.
16. Did you get any stretch marks? Yes, everywhere, even places I didn't know I had!
17. What did you crave the most? Whatchamacallit candy bars. (42 pounds worth)
18. Did you crave anything crazy? Yes! When I was pregnant with Ashtyn CD's made me sick. (Yes compact disks, DVD's whatever). I felt like when I looked at them I had eaten one and I would almost throw up. Then with Halle Mike gave me an ipod for my birthday right when I started getting sick. I could not stand that ipod until after she was born and still to this day if one of the songs he first loaded on it comes on I get that sick feeling and want to throw up.
19. Who or what got on your nerves? Anyone at work who turned off the air conditioner
20. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? I bled a little at first and then had an episode at two months where I bled a lot. They told me I had probably lost the baby but when they did the ultrasoud she was right there doing summersaults
21. When and where did you go into labor? I was at my apartment alone on Saturday. It was the region tournaments and my family was at them in Cedar. I had noticed it that morning but felt no pain so ignored it. Mike was in Bryce working.
22. Did your water break? No
23. Who drove you to the hospital? I used to joke with Mike telling him he would miss the turnoff to the hospital. The contractions went from painless stomache tightening to very painful in about 30 minutes. I called Mike in Bryce and told him to get there NOW! Well I couldn't wait any longer and called my mom to come and get me. She drove me. She also missed the turnoff. It was kind of funny. When I got there I was in so much pain I was starting to panic. The nurse said "go ahead and just lay on top of the bed and don't get in it. I want to check you first and see if your even dialated at all. Then we'll know if we are even going to keep you or not". My thought was "Are you freaking kidding me, if this isn't true labor just kill me cause I will never make it". I was dialated to a five and 90% effaced. My epidural could not have come fast enough. Mike showed up about 30 minutes after I got to the hospital, in time to see the epidural and almost pass out HEHE:)
24. Who was in the room when you gave birth? Mike and my mom. My dad and Brothers and sisters and some of my in laws were on the other side of the curtain.
25. Did you go early or late? With my first it was 2 1/2 hours before her due date. #2 was 10 days early, #3 4 weeks early, #4 five weeks early, #5 3 weeks early, and #6 3 weeks early.
26. How long were you in labor? With 5 of them it was about 6 hours. Sadie was about 24 hours
27. Did you have any drugs for the pain? Yes epidurals every time. Although with Halle it didn't work the first time and I thought I would die. During contractions I couldn't even cry, all I could do was hold the side of the bed and shake thinking I would die, and then between the contractions I was to busy heaving from nausea. They told me to wait 10 minutes before trying the second epidural but after about 2 contractions they all knew that wasn't an option. I got the second one just before she came out. Had I known I was to a 10 and ready I would have pushed her out rather than taking the time to get the second one in me.
28. Did you go natural or have a c-section? I had my first two natural, my third a c-section and my last three natural. I definitely prefer natural. The C-section almost killed me. I remember them telling me I had to get out of bed and go to the nursery to feed my baby because she was in the NICU. It was so painful to sit up and I told them to kill me cause I wasn't standing up and I wasn't laying back down. I don't think they realized how much pain I was in because they still made me get on my way to the nursery and I passed out at some point and they brought me back in a wheel chair. It was awful! :(
29. What was your first reaction after giving birth? I thought she was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen!
30. How big was the baby? 6 pounds 5 ounces. All my babies were between 6 pounds 3 ounces and 6 pounds 11 ounces no matter if they were five weeks early or on time. I told my doctor when they baby got over 6 pounds he or she would come.
31. Did your husband cry? No but his eyes were pretty watered up. He did not leave that little girls side.
32. What did you name the baby? Taylyr Rayne Stevens
33. Does the name have any significance? Mike picked Taylyr, I wanted Rayne. He didn't want Rayne and said I couldn't name her that so I guess we actually came out of the hospital with Taylyr Stevens, but after 3 months of nagging I changed her birth certificate to Taylyr Rayne Stevens. My other children were named after family. Dakota Kami, after me, Mercedes Christine after Mike's mom, Ashtyn Michael after Mike of course, Halle Kathern after my mother, and Porsha Fay after Mike's aunt. I believe I already explained that one when she was born.
34. Did you have any visitors? Pretty much my whole family when she was born cause they were all over there for the tournaments
35. Did the baby have any complications? A little, there was meconium (spelling?) when they broke my water so since my labor pretty much stopped with the epidural they let it stop and ran tubes with water inside to clean it out. Then a few hours later they put me on pitocin and she was born shortly after. They had to take her immediately to work on her so they could make sure she didn't swallow any. She was fine. Kodi they also took but only for a few minutes until they gave her to me. Sadie was a C-section and it was a long time before I saw her, Ashtyn they took for six hours until I could see him because he couldn't keep his temperature up ( that was the worst cause Mike and most of my family and extended family had the stomach flu so it was just me in the hospital for six hours with no baby. Mike left after about an hour because he was throwing up so much. IT WAS AWFUL). Halle and Porsha were the only two delivered to my stomach and it was the most wonderful feeling in the world.
36. How old is your baby today? Taylyr 10, Kodi 9, Sadie 7, Ashtyn 5, Halle 2 and Porsha 9 months.
37. When is the next one coming? Never I am done. Tubes tide people!
38. If you could would you do it all over again? Obliviously yes cause I did it 5 more times. I would probably do it again now if I didn't have so many things happen each time. Preterm labor just kills me.

Belief Tag

This post is all about belief. Some of your answers can't be religious. You should include at least one belief about food and one belief and unbelief that reflects philosophy about life.

6 things I believe
#1 I believe the best advice I ever got was from my father when I got married. He told me to never sleep a night apart from my husband mad, and to take a picture of myself naked cause I'd never look that way again. Well I followed the first advice and not the second. Man do I regret it! I could have taken that picture to my plastic surgeon and said "Make me look just like this again! :)
#2 I believe a married the best man ever, so for all of you who are single out there and are waiting for that perfect man, too late, I MARRIED HIM!
#3 I believe my kids will make mistakes even though I will do everything in my power to help that not happen. Hopefully I can find that balance of me and them making choices for them.
#4 I believe I couldn't have asked for better in laws
#5 I believe in carma. What goes around comes around and you should watch what you say and do to others believing in this philosophy. They minute you open your mouth to criticize you'd better be watching out for yourself! You are never immune to your own problems.
#6 I believe you burn more calories, lose more weight, and definitely tone more running outside than on a treadmill

6 things I don't believe
#1 I don't believe anyone should be lucky enough to just lose baby weight. You should have to work your ASS off every time (6!) like I did for that to happen. (Jentre' :)
#2 I don't believe you can ever have too many friends so you should invest the time you have in keeping the ones you have, making new ones and letting the little things go.
#3 I don't believe I deserved the parents I got, they are the best!
#4 I don't believe it's wrong to eat fudge until you are sick and running to the bathroom! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH;)
#5 I don't believe my original post on this tag pleased my husband too well so I deleted it and started over.
#6 I don't believe you can spend to much time alone with your husband. Put the kids to bed at a good time and have that date night more than once a week!

6 things I'm not sure about

#1 I'm not sure how I will be able to handle teenagers. I just hope they realize that they have never been a teenager before and I have never raised one before.
#2 I'm not sure that what works for other people will work for me but I will listen to any advice I think is worth while
#3 I'm not sure I am very good at holding my temper when I get upset, but I think it is better that people know how you are feeling than to tell it behind their backs.
#4 I'm not sure that life will always be this good. But I sure hope it is!
#5 I'm not sure that Jimmy Johnson will win 4 in a row but for the sake of making some people ticked off, GO FOR IT JIMMY!
#6 I'm not sure when the world will end but I hope I am there. (and on the good side!)

Yep, He's an Edward

OK. So I read the twilight books this summer and yes I enjoyed them but I probably didn't get as excited about them as some people or at least it seems that way with all this hype over the movie I've been hearing. I do plan on seeing the movie eventually but what I know is that Mike is an Edward. He has always been an Edward. Maybe he isn't a vampire (well maybe sometimes! :) thankfully that is all he lacks of the character Edward. Since my surgery he has taken care of everything. The cooking, cleaning, getting kids ready for school including doing their hair and making breakfast, vacuuming, cleaning up vomit, caring for a sick throwing up baby all night, changing the 2 year olds bed sheets when she has an accident and washing them, laundry, you name it and he has done it. Oh, and I should mention that he hasn't complained once. He is so awesome. The only thing he said was after day 3 and at about 9:00 that night he told me he was completely exhausted. He has always appreciated what I do at home but I think more than ever he does now. He is awesome that is all I can say. He is an Edward!

Another Back Surgery!

Yes it is my second one and it is awful. I found out two weeks ago that I needed it and since my insurance starts over in January and the doctor was booked I had to get right in. I was pretty much on standby but they were pretty sure he would do it, so Friday night at 5:00 P.M. they rolled my in and I was back in my hospital room by 7 p.m. THAT WAS THE EASY PART! Now I can't bend, lift, twist or sit (BLTS) for 3 months. Not so hard if you don't have an 8 month old and loads and loads of laundry to do every week. It is a good thing that I have such a wonderful husband or this would not fly. He is absolutely wonderful. Today he did all the laundry. (He is taking a few days off from work). He doesn't complain at all, well except when he got mad at one of the kids the other night and said Damn and I yelled into the back room for him to shut up cause my parents were at the door and honestly couldn't get out fast enough. It was almost funny. I think they thought we were at our breaking point, but that is just us. He thought they had already left :) Oh well, we got through it once and we will get through it again. I told him to just shoot me. If I was a horse they would.

IT'S DONE!!!

The basement is finally done. I am so excited. I have waited so long for this. Now I have this wonderful big living room with fireplace and it also has 3 bedrooms, bathroom, fruit room, and of course the other room or as Mike calls it "The Man Cave" for all his stuff. I am just excited to use one of the rooms as a toy room. The couch is still missing two pieces that haven't come yet but I love it.
The best part is this pod chair. It swivels. T.V., Fireplace, T.V. Fireplace, back and forth. Mike and I fit very comfortable together in it. (Don't Ask). The kids already know that this is mom and dad's chair and not theirs. I love it!

View from the back of the room.

PULLED OVER

Yep, for the first time in 17 years I got pulled over. (I cannot be that old!). The last time I got pulled over I was 16 and a half and got a ticket for going 82 in a 66. That officer was nice enough to write me up for only 10 over. Well, on my way home yesterday from piano I had brought my van which holds 7 and I was picking up Trayten (Cherrie's boy) at the school so with my six kids and myself and him we were 8. I was going a little over the speed limit but not enough to get pulled over for it, so when I saw the highway patrol turn around right after I passed him I knew it had to be because I had Sadie and Dakota in the front seat in a seat belt together. I told Kodi to hurry and get in the back in a seat belt with Taylyr which she did. Sure enough he came up behind me with his lights on. When he walked up I asked him if I was speeding and he told me a little but he pulled me over because he saw one of my kids standing up in the middle of the front. Kodi I think was a little nervous and said "I wasn't standing up I was in a seat belt with my sister and my mom told me to hurry and get in the back in a seat belt with my other sister, so I did". He asked me how many kids I had in the vehicle and then looked. I told him I had picked up my sisters boy in Tropic and so I was 1 seat belt short and that is why they were sharing one. He told me he was going to write me up for a seat belt violation when he pulled me over but now that he understood the situation he wasn't going to. BUT... I didn't have my drivers license so he had to go run my name over the scanner and check everything out. Oh well, I didn't get a ticket for anything so I should be very thankful. He told me that if I had to double up like that again it would be better in the back seat than the front and I was on my way. If I had remembered that I was picking up Trayten beforehand and brought my suburban the whole situation could have been avoided. By the way the Highway Patrolman was not bad looking. Not at all. And no for those of you who just asked THE question. I did not flirt or bare anything to get out of the ticket!

TREAT YOUR SERVERS WITH RESPECT! OR ELSE

Okay, so some of you have heard this story cause I have a big mouth and have told everyone already but for those of you who haven't ENJOY!
The other day at work I got my first table and it was a lady who was probably around 70 years old and her mother who she said was 93. When I first walked out to the table the 70 year old (she was the only one who talked) told me "I am very hard on waitresses. I like things my way and your tip is based on whether you make sure I get it that way". Well I'm actually proud of myself for not killing her on the spot but I managed to get through taking her order. When I brought out her salad she said "That's what I'm talking about, you remembered I didn't want any cucumbers so your tip is just fine". Well by this point I was waiting for the top of my head to pop off because I think I really did have steam coming out my ears. You always think of what to say later and not at the moment and if I had been a little quicker I would have just told her from the very start "I will need to get my manager so he can find you a waitress that is not human, because I am human and I make mistakes and I'd rather not waste my time!" So anyway I made it through and it wasn't easy.
The next day I went to the car care to find Mike and couldn't find him. I went inside to use the phone to call his cell phone and low and behold who is at the counter but Miss Witchy herself. Well I managed to just tell Martin the cashier that she was an _ _ _ HOLE and good luck and walked out. Of course she did not hear me but I'm pretty sure she recognized me. The next morning Mike went to work and called me at 8:30 a.m. and woke me up and told me I really wanted to hear this. So he said Miss Witchy broke down the day before and they had to tow her into the car care. Her car had overheated. Scott had helped her and fixed her car. She called that morning from Torrey and talked to Mike and said her car had overheated again and she was broke down. Mike told me he knew who she was (from the restaurant. He worked that night also in the restaurant and saw her), He said he was very nice to her and trying to help her despite knowing what he knew about her. Then she made the mistake of saying "you are very rude and I would like to talk to Bryce". Well my very patient loving husband had had it and, well, I guess his head just blew off like mine was going to and he said "I'm rude, your telling me that I'm rude? You remember that little (mike said little he he) gal that waited on you in the restaurant last night? She was my wife! You want to talk about rude, that was rude! You can take your son of a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ car somewhere else". Then he hung up. I believe he said she never called back. Well needless to say I laughed and of course he made my whole week, heck, he made my whole year! There are a lot of people that treat waitresses like they are nothing and you just have to blow it off or you just can't do the job. I don't mind waitressing and I believe only certain people can handle it. You just never get satisfaction like that when things like that happen and this time it came full circle. YES!
Well, if you watched Oprah the other day, she had a show on rude people and it was mostly about how people treat servers. Two quotes from Oprah and No they are not exact "You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat service people" and talking about someone who is always causing problems in restaurants and always requesting a manager, oh and then actually has the gall to go back to that establishment, "They know who you are, they can spot you a mile away and I would hate to think of what they have done to your food! Thank You OPRAH

Fun Tag: Jenny tagged everyone

1. What is my husbands name: Mike
2. How long have we been married: 12 years and 1 month (WOW!)
3. How long did we date before we got married: 11 months
4. How old is he: Three days older than me!
5. Who eats more sweets: Me, Me, Me. He hardly ever eats sweets unless it is "pralines and cream sundae" ice cream. He always says I will honestly make something for dessert before I will make dinner and he is right!
6. Who said I love you first: I did. And in case your wondering he did not say it back. I almost died, talk about uncomfortable. About a month later he told me the same thing. He told me then that he couldn't say it back when I did because he had to be completely sure first! Thats Mike!
7. Who is taller: Him by far. I'm 5'5" and he is 6'3". He told me he was never interested in tall girls. I'm not sure that is true. I think he just said it to make me feel good!
8. Who is a better singer: Me definitely, I can sing a pretty mean "Stand By Your Man" (watch out Tammy Wynette.) BUT......when Mike gets out his guitar and plays what he calls "fresh rock" whoa, he is better. Love that fresh rock!
9. Who is smarter: Mike definitely. Although I would never admit this to his face:). He is definitely smarter. He can fix and figure out anything.
10. Who does laundry: Me, every Tuesday, I hate Tuesday's! Mike has done it a few times to help me out and he really is not that bad. He will help me fold it at night when I am doing it and he is home from work. Funny story: He did it not very long ago because I was sick and told me that we just all had to cut back on the clothes we wear and wear each thing twice. Not easy is it honey. Lucky I do it and not him!
11. Who pays bills: Me. Although he makes most of the money.
12. Who sleeps on right side of bed: I do facing it, he does laying in it
13. Who mows lawn: I do unless he just has some free time which he never does. He works hard and plays hard. I actually love to mow the lawn. You have to understand though, at this elevation grass doesn't grow oh so fast. This summer I think we mowed it three times, maybe four. It was a real cool spring and has been a real cool fall. Although, he does weed wack it. I hate to do that.
14. Who cooks dinner: I would have to say me most of the time, but Mike really enjoys it too and since we Bar B Q a lot he does a lot of it. (Thanks to the WONDERFUL grill I got him for Father's Day).
15. Who drives: Mike. I like to sleep and he always says he doesn't trust my driving. I admit I am no good with any kind of moisture on the ground (yes rain also) but I am fine other than that. (Mike when you read this you better not leave any comments about this) :) Yes he was the one who voted "no" a few times on my anniversary poll about if anyone thought we would last this long just to drive me crazy for a few days before he came clean.
16. Who is the first to say "Sorry or their wrong": Mike, Mike, Mike. Awful isn't it. But I can definitely say it was the best thing for me because I have learned from him and am still learning to let things go. I am one who holds a grudge for a while. Mike doesn't hold one for a second and I mean not even a second. He doesn't get upset EVER! He is the most wonderful husband. I even had someone at work ask me the other day if Mike ever gets mad or has a bad day because if he does he doesn't show it. He honestly doesn't. I wish to be more like him.
17. Who kissed who first: Funny story. My roommate and I went to meet the people in our apartment building (wasn't very many) and I saw Mike for the first time. I saw his eyes and that was it for me. I told my roommate Laycee that I was going to get a date with him. All my roommates bet me I couldn't and then changed it to I couldn't get him to kiss me by February (it was October)...they didn't know me very well. I asked him out and it was the most uncomfortable date ever. Even my roommates got a laugh out of how far away he sat on the couch from me during the movie we all watched. Well, I thought that was the last I would ever see of him until a week later when I was sitting on the floor of our apartment with my back to the door and someone knocked. My roommate answered it and I wasn't paying much attention until I heard him ask for me. I knew in a second who it was. Well, lets just say I won the bet by a LONG SHOT!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHA AND I'M STILL LAUGHING. (We both went for the kiss together after watching a very long Forest Gump!
18. Who asked who out first: refer above
19. Who wears pants: Probably me, but Mike definitely gets a say in everything. That is one of the things he has mellowed me on. We are a team more now than ever. By the way My dad once told me of a couple who got married and the husband took his pants to her and told him to put them on, so she did. They were too big and didn't fit. He told her to remember that because he wore the pants in the family. She brought her nice little panties to him and told him to put them on. Obliviously he couldn't. She told him that as long as he felt that way he would never get into hers. LOVED IT!
I TAG Stephanie, Hayley, Josalyn for the second time, and Trish.

Pacific Time

This morning my kids and I got up at our usual 6:00 a.m. and got ready for school. The kids were at the table eating their eggs and toast and I was just fixing Mike some eggs when Kodi said "Mom, did you know it's after 7:00". I said "No it isn't" and glanced at the clock. I almost died. It was Quarter to eight and school starts at 8. The bus comes at 7:10 so we really missed that one. It was also our turn to drive for preschool so I hurried the kids in the car, had them take their toast with them and Mike wolfed down his eggs as fast as he could and they all left. One of the kids must have been messing with my clock in my room because when I checked it, it had been set to Pacific Time. There is a button on the back that you can hit and it will change to any of the four time zones, easter, central, mountain or pacific. I had to call the school to make sure they kept Sadie's aid there and didn't have her go home. The principal answered and I explained what happened. He is also the one who drives our bus. He told me (jokingly) "You can't change your clocks back for another few weeks". I guess we were just getting some extra practice!

Asleep in the toy box

Last night before dinner we were trying to find Ashtyn and couldn't find him. We had looked, we thought, everywhere and he just wasn't around. I even asked Hayley if he was at her house. I knew he had to be close because I had just bathed all the kids and put them in their jammies. Well I took another sweep of the house and found him sound asleep in the toy box. I had asked him to pick up the toys just before I started dinner. I guess he was just too tired to do it! He is so cute.

Sadie and Goober

This is Sadie and her new little puppy. It is the whole family's puppy but mostly Sadie's since she really doesn't go many places to play with friends like the other kids. She is mostly just here with mom all day and I really wanted something to entertain her. We used to have a golden retriever but she died a couple of years ago. Mike did not want another dog because he had to take care of our last dog when she was suffering. He told me he would never be able to do that to another family pet. Well I finally got my way and we now have another male in the family besides Mike and Ashtyn. Oh, by the way he is a little 8 week old shitzu puppy who Sadie named "Goober". I don't know where that comes from but that is what she informed us his name is.

12 YEARS TOGETHER
I can't believe it has been 12 years. It sure doesn't seem like it has been that long. I never dreamed in 12 years we would have six beautiful children and life would be so wonderful. I love Mike more than ever. I absolutely believe that marriage is hard work but it is so worth it. I can't imagine my life being any other way than it is now. I am so happy. I love my husband and family so much!

Now.
Our family after 12 wonderful years of marriage. Six beautiful children.
Then......

Wow, I can't believe it has been that long.

Ashtyn loves the color green and got all the green toothbrushes out of my stashes of new toothbrushes and decided to use them all at once. I thought it was pretty funny.
Kodi, Taylyr, Sierra, Sadie, Halle, Ashtyn and Brooklyn after the kids race at the rewards. Halle didn't run but everyone else did. They did awesome.
Mike got first place in his age category at the Bryce Canyon Rim Run. This is him getting his metal. Wow he is so hot!
Mike coming in to the finish line. WOW!
Sadie, Kodi and Taylyr on their first day of school. They were all excited except for Sadie who has told me all summer she was not going back.
Sadie did manage a smile until.......
she got on the bus. Then she was really sad and it almost broke my heart. Her crying started another girl crying and they finally just got out of there before it caught on any further. Of course Sadie had Kodi there to help her and Sadie did fine.
Mike water skiing at lake powell. Darn it I just can't help but keep saying how good looking he is. Wow Mike!! You are awesome. I luv ya so much. If you can take your eyes off of Mike for a minute you might notice the clouds in the sky. Yes, there would have been more pictures but that storm came in and sat and we got rained on and hailed on before we finally gave up and went home. Don't worry we already have the next trip planned. Sheila you'd better be ready to meet us in Lake Powell.
Taylyr, Sierra and Kodi at Mossy Cave. My sister Chrishel and her kids came down to visit for two weeks. It was great. It was so good to see them since it has been so long since they came. (Christmas I think). I also think we may have talked them into moving back. (at least that's what Sierra told my girls) We will see. By the way when they returned home they attended an Idaho baseball game and Sierra got hit in the forehead with a foul ball. She was in the hospital and it broke a piece of her skull and she had some bleeding on her brain. She is okay though thank heavens and we are all very thankful. Get well Sierra!
Kodi and Sadie at Mossy cave.
Halle loves the tub! You may notice the shiner over her eye. Your guess is as good as mine as to how she got it.
