Well, since people have been pronouncing the babys name not quite the way we wanted we have made the decision to change the spelling of her name. Instead of Portiah we are now spelling it Porsha. The birth certificate was really easy to change since it had only been 2 weeks but the social security card, my heavens, you might as well forget that til the child turns 16 and actually gets a drivers license. Otherwise I'm not sure it is worth the crap they put you through! Although if Mike had listened to me in the first place this would not have even been an issue!

Cherish was driving her montero up the really steep hill by Coyote and the drivers side front tire came clear off the ground. My dad went down to drive it up for her and Mike went down to help. Cherish as you can see in the picture opted to walk up the hill instead.

Mike, Halle, Kami, Porsha, Sadie, Kodi, Taylyr, and Ashtyn at the cabin down by Coyote. Sadie was actually pretty happy the whole time even though her arm was broken. We did sign our names in the cabin.

Mike, Kami, Taylyr, Kodi, Sadie, Ashtyn, Halle, and baby Porsha at Jack and Mae's burned down cabin down cottonwood wash. This was taken just after Sadie fell and broke her arm although we did not know it yet.

Easton, Taylyr, Cajun, and Kodi at the moqui cave above Jack and Mae's burned down cabin.

While camping Sadie tripped over a bush and fell on a rock. She tried to catch herself and broke both bones in her arm. We never knew it was broken til that night so Lexi and I ran her over to the hospital to check it out. Mike stayed at camp with the other kids. The only way we were able to get Sadie to go to the hospital was to promise her she could come right back to camp. She loves camping!

Mike really enjoyed riding his motorcycle and finding jumps to jump his bike on.

We went camping for easter down below and had lots of fun. We went out Wednesday night and came home Monday morning. This picture is of Mike and Halle. Halle won her age in the easter egg roll.

My dad hit this badger on his way out to camp. When we passed it again someone had propped it up with a beer bottle. By the time we came home he had not only picked up a habit of drinking but smoking too!

Sweet little Portiah, 11 days old

I just can't stand that this is my last little baby. I wish time could just freeze.

Mike looks so cute! The kids did a really good job on his daddy makeover!

We had a daddy makeover for family night and the kids had a ball. They loved putting little clips and bows in dads hair and using moms make-up to make daddy look so pretty.

Ashtyn loves getting on dads computer and taking pictures of himself. He is quite the little daddy's man. He loves to go to work with his dad whenever he possibly can. Especially when mom takes the older girls to piano lessons. What he really likes at work though is that dad always buys him a root beer and a candy bar. He loves his new little sister Portiah although he wasn't thrilled that he didn't get to come to the hospital to see her before she came home ( they kids all had the stomache flu). He remembers coming to the hospital when I had Halle and really wanted to be there this time. He is full of it and can't wait until summer finally comes (I can't wait either!) so that they can all go outside and play.

We have just welcomed the sixth and final member to the Stevens family. She is Portiah Fay Stevens and was born at 1:49 p.m on Saturday March 1st. She weighed in at 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 19 inches long. For being three weeks early we thought that was pretty big. She was our biggest baby. She is such a sweetheart and sleeps very good. The kids just love her especially little Halle. We wondered what little Halle would do when we brought little Portiah home but the only problem we have had is where the four of us (Halle, Mike, Kami, Portiah) are all going to fit in the same bed. Although Halle was a little upset that she now sleeps on the edge of the bed instead of snuggled right in between Mike and I it has been okay. Yes Halle still sleep in bed with us and no it has not been a good form of birth control or we wouldn't have little Portiah now would we! We do have a little toddler bed for her in our room and are still working on that one.
